A common cinematic practice is to have the camera "pan," or move, in a certain direction. Often this is used to mimic motion, to keep the camera focused on something in action, or to show an area that is wider than a still shot could take. These same camera techniques are used in animation, even though there is no camera filming live action.

These pans, or scrollcaps as they are also called, are comprised of multiple screencaps pieced together to create one full image.
