Ability Waves: These are special waves that grant Mega Man the usage of certain abilities. Some examples of Ability Waves are: HP Upgrades, First Barrier, and Float. Your Link Power affects which and how many Ability Waves you can use.
Advert Ship: These are flying vehicles in the sky that advertise events.
Air Display: This is a feature of the Star Carrier that allows a holographic (but pressure sensitive) screen to appear and be used.
AM-ians/AM Seijin: These are life forms from Planet AM. Most AM-ians were destroyed when Planet FM attacked. Many are wandering throughout the galaxy. The three Satellite Admins (Leo Kingdom, Pegasus Magic, and Dragon Sky) are all AM-ians that guard the three Satellites. They have an unique ability that enables them to turn humans into EM Waves.
Attack Stars: These are special stars in Star Force 2 that make up Star Cards. They boost the strength of cards.
Auto-Brother: This is a system where you can get a Brother from your opposite version of what you are playing in Star Force 2/Ryuusei 2. (So if you have Zerker x Saurian and you are playing Saurian, then your Auto-Brother would be Zerker.) Their max Link Power is 100.
Battle Cards: These are cards that have battle data. To use this battle data, the user must use Predation. You can buy Battle Cards at various shops in Mega Man Star Force. Wide Sword, Ground Wave, and Air Spread are all examples of Battle Cards.
Battle Cards can be bought in real life in Japan. They are used with the Wave Scanner toy.
Best Combo: A string of Battle Cards that is recorded and can be used via Legend Force. The total damage they do must be over 300 and it has to be made up of three or more Standard Class cards. Best Combos can only be recorded when fighting an EX or SP form of a boss.
Brother Band: This is a creation of Kelvin Stelar (Geo's father). It is the connection between people. It is a way to strengthen the bonds between people. It was used in an attempt to connect with the FM-ians.
Brother Force Cards: When you make a Brother Band with a person, you gain access to their Favorite Cards. When their Brother Force Card appears in your Card Selection, click on it and it will start a roulette. You can use the card that it lands on. Brother Force Cards can be disabled by clicking on them when you edit your folder.
Card Folder: This is a folder made with 30 cards that Geo can equip and use these cards in battle. Only five Mega Cards and one Giga Card are allowed in your folder, unless you equip something to up the ante.
Card Force: This refers to two different things. First off, it refers to Navi Cards. Geo can swipe a Navi Card (like PitcherMan or ThermoMan) into his Transer, and they will help get him past several obstacles. Secondly, it refers to Battle Cards that summon weapons (like Sword and Plasma Gun).
Counter: When you Counter an enemy, you attack them right before they are able to pull of their attack. It will grant you a random card from your folder, or your Link Force Big Bang.
Cross Brother Band: This feature is only available in the Japanese version of Mega Man Star Force 1 (Ryuusei no Rockman 1). It allows a Ryuusei no Rockman player to create a Brother Band with a Bokura no Taiyoh: Django and Sabata (called Lunar Knights in the U.S.) player. It gave the user exclusive cards, the Charge +1 ability, and it allowed them to get two exclusive Omega-Xis Weapons. This feature was removed in the English version of both games.
Deleting: This is when a virus or EM Body is erased permanently.
Double Tribe-On: This is when Mega Man uses two OOPArts to perform Tribe-On with. His power is much stronger than just using on OOPArt. Some examples of the forms are Fire Ninja, Elec Saurian, and Wood Zerker.
Electromagnetic Waves (EM Waves)/Denpa: These waves are the new form of connection in Mega Man Star Force. Data is taken to various places via these waves. Most household appliances are also controlled by these waves.
EM Body: This is a general term for FM-ians, AM-ians, and UMAs.
EM Wave Change/Denpa Henkan: This is when an EM Life Form and a human merge into an EM Wave Human. Geo shouts, "EM Wave Change! Geo Stelar! On the Air!" in the English version of the game. While in the English cartoon, Geo will just say, "EM Wave Change! On Air!" However, in one episode he said "Electromagnetic" instead of "EM."
In the Japanese version of the game and in the Japanese anime, he will yell, "Denpa Henkan! Hoshikawa Subaru ((Geo Stelar))! On Air!"
EM Wave Human/Denpa Ningen: This form is when a EM Life Form combines with a human. Some examples of EM Wave Humans are Mega Man, Queen Ophuica, and Gemini Spark.
EM Wave World/Denpa Sekai: These are the internal waves inside a product that is powered by EM Waves. They are sometimes referred to as "ES" which stands for "Electromagnetic Space."
Flinching: This is when you use a card and it interrupts your opponent's attack. It is also known for giving your opponent temporary invincibility. It is best to avoid using cards that flinch your opponents.
FM-ian/FM Seijin: These are aliens, or Wave Lifeforms that come from Planet FM. Some examples are Taurus, Lyra and Cygnus.
Indie Proof/Badge of Loneliness: These are powerful objects that can be used to separate yourself from Link Power and Brothers. It grants you the ability to use the Rogue/Burai forms if you collect all six.
Jammer/Jamminga: This is the outcome when a EM Wave Virus merges with a human.
Legend Force: Cards that contain the data of your Best Combo. You can buy these cards from Legend Master Shin for 3000 zennys. They can only be used once and they are not counted as one of the thirty cards you need to put in a deck.
Link Force Big Bang (LFB)/Kizuna Force Big Bang (KFB): These are Star Force 2's replacements for Star Force 1's Star Force Big Bangs. They are powerful attacks that can only be gained when you counter an opponent.
Link Power/Kizuna Ryoku: This is the strength of the bonds between Brothers. It allows Mega Man to use Ability Waves. You need a certain amount of Link Power in order to obtain some HP Memories.
Lock-On: This is a term used for Mega Attack. Mega Man can target a single enemy and allow you to zoom up in front of it and attack it.
Loneliness Waves: These are waves emitted by a person if they are feeling extremely lonely (like if a parent or someone close dies). FM-ians can track these Loneliness Waves to their source and possess their owner if they have the same Wave Frequency.
Matter Waves/Material Waves: These are waves that can be summoned and used in the real world. The hammers used in the fourth episode of Ryuusei no Rockman Tribe are made out of Matter Waves.
Materialize: This is feature is unique to the Star Carrier. It allows the user to summon Material Waves. In the anime, the user can not Materialize anything unless they were in the Utagai Area [Temporary Name] or in another area high in EM Wave concentration. Also, you cannot Materialize food. In the game, the user will shout "Matter Wave, Materialize!" to Materialize a Matter Wave.
Mega Attack/War-Rock Attack: This is more widely know as Lock-On for obvious reasons. In a Wave Battle, Mega Man can use Mega Attack to jump up in front of his enemy and attack them.
Navi Cards: These are special cards that contain the data of a Net Navi. They can do various tasks for the owner.
Net Navis: Although 200 years into the future, Net Navis are still around. They are stored in Navi Cards and are available for the owner's use. They have various minimal jobs. Some examples are ShovelMan, TeacherMan, and KeyMan.
OOPArts: Out-Of-Place-ARTifacts. These are the mysterious relics from the Mu continent. By using them, Mega Man can use Tribe-On!
Omega-Xis Weapons: These are weapons that Omega-Xis equips to strengthen the Mega Buster.
On-Air: This is when two Brothers are both online. You can get Share Stars and battle your Brothers while On-Air.
Pack: This is where Geo stores all of the Battle Cards that he does not have in a folder.
Peace/Kizuna: This is the spaceship that Kelvin Stelar was on. It went mysteriously missing in space. It was lost three years before Mega Man Star Force 1 began (when Geo was seven).
Predation: This is the way that Omega-Xis absorbs Battle Cards. By consuming them orally, Omega-Xis will transfer the card's data to Geo, so he can attack. In the anime, Geo will yell, "Battle Card, Predation!" when he uses a Battle Card.
Pulse In: This is the term used when Geo and Omega-Xis go into the Wave World.
Pulse Out: This is the term used when Mega Man goes out of the Wave World.
Satella Police/Satellite Police: These are the police officers that investigate Zeta Waves and EM Viruses. They also track down EM Wave Humans, if they appear. They are led by Bob Copper.
Share Star: In Mega Man Star Force 1, if you had the same card equipped that a Brother had equipped and if you are both On-Air, then you gain a Share Star. These Star Stars power up the card's damage.
Sky Board: This is a vehicle made out of Matter Waves. They look like surfboards, but they have the ability to fly through the air.
Star Break: A special term used only in the anime when Rockman is using Star Force via Predation.
Star Carrier: These are the devices used in Star Force 2 that hold Omega-Xis as well as perform a variety of tasks including e-mail and telephoning capabilities. They allow Omega-Xis to get Battle Cards bypassing Predation. They also have the ability to open up a small screen that allow the user to see EM Waves. Their most noticeable ability is that they allow the user to Materialize Matter Waves.
Star Force: This is when Mega Man uses the powers of the Satellite Admins via their Star Force Card. It has three forms: Ice Pegasus, Fire Leo, and Green Dragon.
Star Force Big Bang (SFB): This is a card that Mega Man receives when he counters an opponent while he is in a Star Force. Each Star Force has their unique card. Ice Pegasus Mega Man has Magician's Freeze, Fire Leo Mega Man has Atomic Blazer, and Green Dragon Mega Man has Elemental Cyclone. These cards register on the game as Giga Class Cards.
Sub-Cards: These are one-time use cards that grant Mega Man an ability or heal him. Some examples of Sub-Cards are Unlocker, D. Energy, and Fire Search.
Transers: These are like bulky, mini-laptops that attach to a person's arm. They come in three colors (red, blue, and green) and each one registers to either the Leo Satellite, the Pegasus Satellite, or the Dragon Satellite (respectively). It doubles as a phone and a way to check your email on the go!
This is also a toy in Japan. You can play through it as Rockman and delete viruses. No Battle Cards are necessary, because they are all in-game.
Tribe-On: Mega Man uses an OOPArt to perform Tribe-On. His powers increase drastically. There are three Tribe-Ons: Electric Zerker (Thunder Berserker), Fire Saurian (Fire Dinosaur), and Wood Ninja (Green Shinobi).
Triple Tribe-On/Tribe King: This is when Mega Man uses all three OOPArts when he uses Tribe-On. His power is much stronger.
UMA: Unidentified Mysterious Animal. These are the EM Bodies that appear in Star Force 2. Some examples of UMAs are Ghost, Yeti, and Plesio.
Visualizer: Geo received his pair of Visualizer from his father, Kelvin. They are like sunglasses that enables the user to see EM Waves. Geo is the only one to actually have a pair that we know of at this time.
Wave Battle: This is a battle against Wave Viruses or Wave Humans.
Wave Frequency: If a human and a FM-ian or AM-ian have the same Wave Frequency, the FM-ian or AM-ian can possess that human and also perform EM Wave Change with it.
Wave Roads: These are the pathways that data takes in order to get places. They are high in the sky and are Mega Man's preferred mode of transportation. They are sometimes referred to as "ER" which is shorthand for "Electromagnetic Roads."
Wave Scanners: These are the slimmer, more portable version of Transers. They are hand-held and have the same capabilities as Transers. Like with Transers, Wave Scanners are also each registered to either the Leo, Pegasus, or Dragon Satellite. They also grant the user the ability to see EM Life Forms.
Wave Scanners did not appear in the game.
Wave Scanners are also toys in Japan. You can attach this to your Nintendo DS and transfer data to Rockman. It requires Battle Cards to use. It only works on the Japanese copies of the game.
White Cards: These are special cards that can be chosen no matter what when they appear on your custom screen. Cards that you Favorite become White Cards. Some other White Cards are Grass Stage, Invisible, and Paralyze Plus.
Xtra Folder: This is an un-customizable folder that Geo can equip. It only contains basic cards.
Zackpedia: This is the term for Zack's vast expanse of knowledge. He consults it and gives Geo & co. information about various places, people, etc.
Zeta Waves: These are waves that FM-ians and AM-ians leave behind. They can manifest and become viruses. They are also traceable by the Satella Police.
