Japanese Title: The Hedge Trimmer Howls at the Moon
English Title: Mega Man Express and Wolf Woods (combined with episode 19)
Summary:
Rockman's in a fight against the newest FM alien, Wolf. But he insists on being called by his Denpa-Henkan name, Wolf Forest. He's incredibly strong, and has Rockman on the ropes, but he suddenly flees for some reason. Wolf can't believe the will power of his host body, which appears to be controlling his heart instead of the other way around.
The next day, the school kids are playing baseball on the grounds, when Gonta hits one deep into a neighboring yard. Subaru goes to fetch it, and finds all of these incredible hedge sculptures on the property. He finds the hedge trimmer, Juurou, and tells him how much he likes the work, when Juurou notices the baseball in his hand. The round object reminds him of the moon, which awakens Wolf's nature, and Juurou shouts at Subaru to get rid of him. Just when he thinks he's safe, Himeka, the daughter of his employer, calls him over for a tea break.
Juurou's fond of her, and the feeling appears to be mutual, but he's afraid to get near her because of the changes he's gone through. She shows him the cake she baked to go with the tea, but its round shape arouses Wolf's battle lust again, and he avoids looking at it. She assumes he doesn't like cake, so she shows him cookies she baked, which are also round, and it all starts over again.
Later, Juurou continues his work when his radio wave-powered hedge trimmers break down, and he needs to shop for more supplies. The property owner wishes for Juurou to take Himeka along since he's been called away on business and can't go with her like he promised. Juurou reluctantly accepts, but worries about his wild side coming out while they're together.
At the local mall, they're holding a contest for a telescope, and Subaru wants to win it. All the contestants have to do is hit a target with a ball, and all while Juurou is shopping he keeps crossing paths with Subaru's loose balls, the round shape continually exciting him.
Later, Juurou apologizes to Himeka for acting so strangely, but she likes him just the way he is, and gives him an armlet she bought to thank him for taking her along. As they head for the next store, Gemini Spark watches them closely, curious about what has become of Wolf.
