Subaru and Misora find out that a Mu relic is located within Nanska, a secluded region of South Ameroppa, and head towards the Nanska village. Its chief, Agame, welcomes them with open arms and commences a festival in their honor. (Translation by onkeikun)
Summary:
Misora dreams of an ancient land way up in the hills, free from the modern world's influence for generations. She wants to go, but her schedule's way too busy. Fortunately, Orihime's just informed Subaru of Mu readings coming from South Ameroppa, so she decides to head off with him in hopes of finding inspiration for her newest song.
They reach the Nanska village, rife with temples and relics from a civilization long ago. Subaru spots a promising place to start looking for the OOPArts, but they're not allowed in without permission by the village elder. He finds them at the bottom of the temple steps, and introduces himself as Agame, before he shows them around. One temple means more to the Nanska people than any other, the home of their God. Legend says that should something ever happen to their people, God will awaken and save them. There's a festival later, and Agame invites them to attend.
Subaru asks what the festival is for, and Agame tells him that it's to present their God with gifts in exchange for a plentiful harvest in the spring. Long ago they'd sacrifice humans to appease him, but now they use food, song and dance. Last year, a girl offered an entire field of flowers she grew.
With the festival about to begin, everyone heads to the village square. There, Subaru finds Luna, who came all the way to Nanska in search of rare ingredients for her next cooking endeavor. As surprised as Subaru is to see her, she's twice as surprised to see Misora Hibiki. After the greetings, Agame dispatches his bird to select God's chosen one for the year. His bird lands on Luna's head, and she's all too happy to be picked.
With the day winding down, Cancer Bubble treks to Nanska in search of Misora, who's way behind schedule. He doesn't see her anywhere, so he decides to go ask someone for help. He enters the temple, where he finds Agame announcing the chosen one. Just then, a figure appears before the village elder, and possesses his body. He declares that he is God, and that Luna shall be his sacrifice.
