Summary:
Subaru and all his friends head to the highest point in town to watch the passing of a very special comet, one that only visits the Earth every 240 years. It actually has radio waves running through it, which makes for a pretty sight with Subaru's Visualizer glasses. But during the show, Tsukasa falls ill, and War-Rock starts talking like a civilized life form. Subaru doesn't know what to make of it.
The next morning, Subaru hopes it was all a dream, but War-Rock really is acting funny. Subaru goes to Amaken to figure out what's wrong, and Amachi suggests that the comet is producing waves in the atmosphere affecting War-Rock's alien structure. The same goes for the other aliens, with Tsukasa bedridden, Ox asleep, Libra on a greeting marathon, Wolf acting like a dog, and Ophiuchus in fangirl mode.
The comet's effects on Cancer and Crown are significantly different, and now Cancer can grow to the size of skyscraper. On the way to the museum, Subaru's school bus is attacked, and when Subaru sees the new Cancer Bubble, he Denpa-Henkans to stop the destruction. Unfortunately, War-Rock refuses to fight, due to the uncivilized nature of battle. Subaru can't seem to convince him, and Cancer Bubble takes the opportunity to crush Rockman under his claw. But there's a problem, Cancer Bubble weighs just as much at this size, so his claw is easily blocked. Rockman uses his opportunity to slam Cancer Bubble into a nearby building, which makes him spill his filling and come back down to size.
Crown Thunder watched the entire battle, and learns that Rockman too is acting strangely because of the comet's interference. He decides it's his turn to take Rockman on.
