Summary:
All communications with the FM planet have been severed, and the Wave Road no longer connects theme, so the FM aliens are stranded on Earth. They have no means of escape, until Cancer walks in with the Andromeda Key. He says he collected the fragments and pieced it back together, but with no energy within it, the key is useless. Cancer notes that the energy was negative emotion, and if they can get the humans to feel sad, angry, or afraid, the Andromeda Key will be re-energized. In actuality, Gemini Spark devised all this, but doesn't want to involve himself with the other FM life forms.
To further their plan, Cancer transforms his comrades into humans, so that they can investigate what triggers negative emotion in Earthlings. After scouring the city for hours, they come up completely empty.
